The Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun face off on Sunday in a WNBA showdown at Wintrust Arena. When these two teams faced off on July 31st, it was the Sky that won 95-92 in overtime.

Chicago comes into this game with a 24-8 record overall, and they are coming off another big victory in their last game. The offense was able to score 93 points against the Washington Mystics and that was enough to win by 10 points. The Sky are averaging 86 points, while their defense is giving up 80.2 points per game. The offense is ranked second in the league, while their defense is ranked 4th in the league. The Sky like to push the pace, but the defense isn’t that bad either. Kahleah Copper has been the top player for Chicago, averaging 15.6 points while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Connecticut Sun, who sits with a 22-10 record overall, and they have won two games in a row. In the last game against the Phoenix Mercury, the defense was good, giving up only 64 points and that led to the easy victory. Two games ago against the Mercury, the offense scored 87 points. The Sun are averaging 79.7 points, while their defense is giving up 69.9 points per game. The offense is ranked eighth in the league, while their defense is ranked 1st in the league. Jonquel Jones has been the top player for the Sun, averaging 19.4 points while shooting 51.5 percent from the field.

The last time these two teams faced off was higher scoring and that allowed the Sky to win the game. In this game, I expect Chicago is going to push the pace again and that will be the difference as the Sky are going to get the job done. Look for the Sky to score at least 85 points and that will be enough to cover the spread.
