The Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces face off in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals on Tuesday at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

In the first game of the WNBA Finals, it was the Aces that were able to secure the 67-64 victory. At the end of the first quarter, the Aces were up 25-17, and they never looked back as they cruised to the victory. The Sun were led by Alyssa Thomas, and she finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and five assists. The Aces were led by A’Ja Wilson, who finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Chelsea Gray also finished with 21 points, two rebounds, and three assists.

The Sun are averaging 85.8 points, while their defense is giving up 77.8 points per game. The offense is ranked 3rd, while their defense is ranked second in the league. Jonquel Jones has been the top player for the Sun, averaging 14.6 points while shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from behind the three-point line. Brionna Jones is averaging 13.8 points while shooting 57.1 percent from the field.

On the other side of this matchup is the Aces who are averaging 90.4 points while giving up 84.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 1st in the league, while their defense is ranked 9th. They play the fastest pace in the league, so has a lot to do with the defense giving up so many points. In Game 1 of this series, they proved they can play good defense if that’s going to be the pace of the game. Kelsey Plum has been the top offensive player, averaging 20.2 points while shooting 46 percent from the field.

The Aces played a slow pace in the first game and won, so I think they will be fine doing that again here. The Sun really doesn’t want to get into a shootout here against the Aces, so they will be fine playing a slower pace. Look for this game to be a close game that is lower scoring and the under will cash.
