Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm 8/15/21 WNBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Chicago Sky and Seattle Storm face off on Sunday in a WNBA basketball showdown at Wintrust Arena. After a layoff because of the Olympics, the WNBA is finally back.

The Chicago Sky have been decent this season and coming into this game they sit with a 10-10 record overall, but they have lost two games in a row. The Sky have lost two games in a row including the last game against the Washington Mystics. The Sky gave up 89 points in that game, and that led to the loss. On the season the Chicago Sky are averaging 82.2 points per game while their defense is giving up 79.4 points per game. Kahleah Cooper has been the best player for Chicago Sky averaging 13.8 points while shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

On the other side of this matchup is the Seattle Storm who sit with a 16-5 record overall and they have already played one game since the Olympics. In the last game, the Storm faced off with the Connecticut Sun, and the Storm were able to win 79-57. Breanna Stewart had a big Olympics for the United States, and she kept the success up in the last game scoring 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. The Storm on the season are averaging 86.4 points per game while their defense is giving up 79.7 points per game. Stewart on the season is averaging 20.6 points while shooting 45 percent from the field and 36.3 percent from behind the three-point line.

The Storm are the more talented team but at times their defense has been an issue, and I think that will be the case again in this game. Look for a high paced game, and for this one to go well over the posted total.
