UTSA vs Navy Prediction Football Picks Today 10/17/26

The Navy Midshipmen and the UTSA Roadrunners meet Saturday in college football action from the Alamodome in San Antonio. Here’s a UTSA vs Navy prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best UTSA vs Navy pick.

Navy Midshipmen Betting Preview

Navy looked good after their first game this year, opening things up with a 42-15 victory over Towson. The Midshipmen would then fall 38-30 versus Florida Atlantic in the next outing however, and followed that up with a 24-20 loss to UAB. Navy was again competitive in the matchup versus Air Force, but took another close loss in that one 14-9 for a 1-3 start.

In last weekend’s matchup versus Tulsa, the Midshipmen were in trouble during the second quarter carrying a 20-7 deficit. Navy fought back with three unanswered TDs at the end of the game though, and won it in the end 34-26. Quarterback Jackson Gutierrez had 95 pass yards with one TD and a pick while adding 41 carries for 232 yards and three scores.

UTSA Roadrunners Betting Preview

Over on the UTSA side, they got a win in their opener as well, taking out UT Rio Grande Valley 45-16. The Roadrunners kept it going with a 31-26 win over Texas State in game two, but then took a 30-6 loss versus a very good Texas team in a road matchup. Since then it’s been three more wins over Colorado State, Rice and South Florida for a 5-1 run so far this year.

Matched up against South Florida last week, the Roadrunners traded punches for most of the first half and went into the locker room with a 17-10 deficit. UTSA retook the lead in the third quarter and eventually powered out a nice 31-24 victory in the end. QB Owen McCown was 22-of-31 for 209 yards and A’Marion Peterson had 12 carries for 92 yards and three scores.

UTSA vs Navy Prediction

I’ll stick with UTSA. The Roadrunners were able to power out a win versus a pretty good South Florida team last week thanks to a solid second half. UTSA eventually notched 25 first downs and a nice 8-of-14 on third-down tries alongside 486 total yards (277 rush yards). The defense gave up just 3-of-11 on third downs but didn’t have any takeaways. UTSA has scored 31 or more points in four of their five wins so far.

As for Navy, they notched a gritty win over Tulsa last weekend, holding the opposition to 16 first downs and 7-of-16 on third-down tries. The Midshipmen posted 386 rushing yards and a nice 8-of-11 on thirds themselves. The 34 points were the most they’ve scored since hanging 42 on Towson in the opener.
