Atlanta Braves vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction 4-5-24 Picks

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves meet Friday in MLB action from Truist Park. Here’s a Diamondbacks vs Braves prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game. We will examine:

Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview

Arizona is coming off a series versus the New York Yankees this week. The Diamondbacks lost 5-2 in the opener of that set, then took a 7-0 shutout win in game two. In the rubber match Thursday, Arizona lost a tough one 6-5 in 11 innings. Ketel Marte took a solo homer in that one, and Corbin Carroll added two hits with an RBI.

In the starter role for the Diamondbacks on Friday, it’ll be Tommy Henry. This year in his lone start, Henry took a loss with 4.0 innings, five earned, six hits and two walks. Over 27 games (26 starts) in his career Henry is 8-9 with a 4.76 ERA and 104 Ks in 140.0 innings.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

Over on the Braves’ side, they played a pair against the Chicago White Sox in their latest series. Atlanta won 9-0 in the opener, then fell 3-2 on Tuesday. Starter Reynaldo Lopez went 6.0 innings with one earned on four hits and two walks in that one. Marcell Ozuna hit a pair of solo homers as one of the only offensive bright spots.

Spencer Strider will take the starting role Friday and try to get the Braves back on track. Strider posted a no-decision his first time out this year, notching 5.0 frames, two earned, three hits and two walks. In 66 career games (53 starts), Strider is 32-10 with a 3.37 ERA.

Diamondbacks vs Braves Prediction

I’m going to stay with the Braves. Realistically the line’s too thick to mess with, though. Strider put up a pretty solid start in his first appearance this year versus Philadelphia, helping guide the Braves to a 9-3 win. His two earned runs in that game both came in the fifth and final inning for him. Offensively, the Braves are doing pretty well so far. They’ve scored four or more runs in four of five games this year.

As for Arizona, they had a tricky series this week against a Yankees team that’s started out the year pretty hot. The Diamondbacks did manage 14 runs over those three games, however seven of those came on Tuesday in the shutout win. I like Arizona to hang around in this one if they get the bats going, but ultimately I think the Braves wil prevail.
