Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins Prediction 4-30-24 Picks

The Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox meet Tuesday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Twins played the Los Angeles Angels in their weekend series. Minnesota was able to notch a sweep in that trio with wins 5-3, 16-5 and 11-5. On Monday versus the White Sox, the Twins had just four team hits but still pulled off the win 3-2. Carlos Santana had a homer with two RBI, and Max Kepler had the other RBI.

In the starting pitcher role for the Tuesday matchup, the Twins will send out Simeon Woods Richardson. This year in his first two starts Richardson has a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 11.0 innings. Richardson is 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA in four career games (three starts).

Over on the White Sox’ side, they also managed a sweep in their weekend set versus the Tampa Bay Rays. Chicago won those games 9-4, 8-7 and 4-2. On Monday versus the Twins, the Sox couldn’t score after the first inning on eight team hits. Starter Garrett Crochet put up 5.0 frames with two earned on two hits and a walk alongside seven Ks.

It’ll be Michael Soroka in the starting pitcher role for the White Sox in the Tuesday matchup. This year Soroka is 0-3 with a 6.83 ERA in six career games. He’s got 13 strikeouts over 29.0 innings. Soroka has a career mark of 17-11 with a 3.69 ERA in 50 games (49 starts).

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins prediction

I’ll probably stay with the Twins in this one. Minnesota has gotten a couple of good starts out of Richardson so far. In that pair he’s got just three earned in 11.0 innings on nine hits and two walks combined. As for Soroka, he gave up 10 earned in 9.1 frames over a pair of starts this month, but calmed down versus the Twins in his last outing. Soroka put up 5.0 innings with two earned in that one.

On Monday the Twins made the most of their four team hits and got a pretty nice performance out of the pitchers. The Minnesota bullpen went 3.0 innings with no earned on two hits, two walks and five Ks. Tuesday’s game will probably be another close one but I like the Twins to keep it going.
