Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction 9-19-24 MLB Picks

The Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Guardians meet Thursday in MLB action from Progressive Field. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins prediction. This will be the final installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Guardians vs Twins pick.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Twins took on the Cincinnati Reds. Minnesota lost two of those three games but won the finale 9-2. After splitting the first two installments with the Guardians, on Wednesday the Twins took a 5-4 loss. Bailey Ober posted 7.0 innings with two earned and 12 Ks in the start.

In the starter slot for Thursday, it’ll be Simeon Woods Richardson. So far Richardson is 5-5 with a 4.08 ERA in 26 starts. Over 28 career games (27 starts) Richardson is 5-6 with a 4.25 ERA.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

Over on the Guardians’ side, they were able to win two of four games versus the Tampa Bay Rays in their last set. After Tuesday’s 4-1 loss, in game three Cleveland scored three in the 10th inning in the comeback victory. Starter Tanner Bibee logged 6.2 innings with two earned runs.

It’ll be Joey Cantillo in the starting pitcher role for Cleveland on Thursday. This year Cantillo is 2-3 with a 4.99 ERA in the first seven games (six starts) of his career.

Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’ll try the Guardians here. Cantillo has done well over his last two outings. He’s 2-0 in that pair with just one earned on five hits and one walk in 12.0 combined frames. As for Richardson, he’s 0-2 in his last two with five earned in 7.1 frames total.

On Wednesday the Guardians were out-hit 8-7 and needed a wild final inning to secure the victory. I’d like to see Cleveland’s bats get started a little earlier on Thursday.
