Boston Red Sox Betting Preview

The Boston Red Sox are 14-13 this year after they lost two out of three games against the Mariners by scores of 8-3, 5-8, and 3-4. In their game three loss, the Red Sox allowed four runs in the first two innings and couldn’t overcome that deficit in the close loss. Boston recorded just four hits in the game, and they were led by Bregman, who went 2-3 with one home run and two RBIs in the loss. Boston started Crochet, who allowed five hits and four earned runs over 5.0 innings in the loss, while Guerrero threw two solid innings in relief.

Prior to that series, the Red Sox won three out of four against the White Sox and two out of three against the Rays. Boston has lost three of their last five games, and they are currently second in the AL East standings. The Boston pitching staff has a 4.06 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and a .252 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 124 runs with a .244 batting average and a .324 on-base percentage this season. Alex Bregman has led Boston with five home runs and 21 RBIs, while Trevor Story has added five home runs and 15 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for game two is Walker Buehler, who is 3-1 with a 4.23 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP over 27.2 innings pitched this year.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

The Cleveland Guardians are 14-10 this season after they won two out of three against the Yankees by scores of 6-4, 3-2, and 1-5. In that game three loss, Cleveland cut the deficit to 2-1 in the first inning, but failed to score in the final eight innings for the loss. Cleveland started Ortiz, who allowed five hits and four earned runs over 4.1 innings pitched in the loss, while Kent allowed three hits and one earned run over 3.0 innings out of the bullpen.

Guardians vs Red Sox Prediction

Boston comes into this series after dropping two out of three against the Mariners, and they are just 6-7 on the road this year. Cleveland is 7-2 at home, and they have plenty of momentum, as they just beat New York two out of three times. In game one, I don’t love either pitcher, and I think we will see plenty of runs, so give me the over. In game two, I originally liked Cleveland with Allen on the mound, but I am going to take Boston now that Nikhazy is starting.
