The Miami Marlins will be sending Ryan Weathers to the mound here and Weathers is 2-3 with a 4.54 ERA and 31 strikeouts this season. In his career, Weathers is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA and 14 strikeouts against the Dodgers. Miami Marlins Recap

The Miami Marlins will try to salvage something from this series after accepting another series loss following their 8-2 loss to the Dodgers in Tuesday’s matchup, following their series loss against the Oakland A’s over the weekend.

Marlins Still Searching For Answers At The Plate

Going into Tuesday’s matchup, Bryan De La Cruz has 39 hits with 8 doubles as well as a team-high 6 home runs and 19 RBIs, while also owning the dubious distinction of leading Miami with 40 strikeouts this season. Jazz Chisholm Jr. also leads the Fish with 19 RBIs and 8 stolen bases as well so far this season.

Why the Miami Marlins will win

Los Angeles Dodgers Recap

The Los Angeles Dodgers will hope to push for another series sweep after making it look rather easy in Tuesday’s win, going for the second straight sweep of an NL East foe after knocking off the Braves in the series before this one.

Dodgers Still Loaded At The Dish

Entering Tuesday, Shohei Ohtani leads the Dodgers with 54 hits including a team-high 11 home runs, 14 doubles and 27 RBIs with a .370 batting average while Mookie Betts has 52 hits with 10 doubles, 2 triples, 6 homers and 27 RBIs of his own. Teoscar Hernandez also has 9 home runs with 26 RBIs and a team-high 49 strikeouts. Betts also has 8 stolen bases while Ohtani has a team-high 9 stolen bases.

LA Dodgers vs Miami Marlins Prediction

I’m on the Dodgers here. It’s just really hard to get behind the Marlins in any way, shape, or form in this one because this just looks like a series where Goliath flattens David like a bug. The Marlins have just had no punch whatsoever this season, and are not a team I’m trying to go out of my way to back. Gavin Stone is far from a top-end starter in this Los Angeles rotation. However, Stone has been a serviceable option more often than not and with the quality of opponent on the other side, this could be a great opportunity for him to show out in a big way. Give me the Dodgers here.
