Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers Prediction 5-26-24 Picks

The Texas Rangers and the Minnesota Twins meet Sunday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Texas Rangers Betting Preview

The Rangers took on the Philadelphia Phillies this week. Texas didn’t do very well in that series, losing all three for a sweep 5-2, 11-4 and 5-2 again. Following a 3-2 loss in the opener versus the Twins, on Saturday the Rangers took a 5-3 loss after blowing a 3-1 lead. Starter Michael Lorenzen gave up one earned in the start with three hits and three walks in 6.0 innings.

Gerson Garabito will take the starter role for the Rangers on Sunday. This will be Garabito’s Major-League debut.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over on the Twins’ side, they took on the Washington Nationals in their last series. Minnesota lost big 12-3 in the opener of that set. In the next pair however, the Twins took victories 10-0 and 3-2 to win the series. On Saturday versus Texas, Minnesota scored three runs in the eighth inning alone. Chris Paddack lasted 5.0 innings with four hits and no walks as stater.

It’ll be Pablo Lopez in the starting pitcher role for the Twins on Sunday. This year Lopez is 4-4 with a 4.72 ERA in 10 starts. He’s got 63 Ks in 55.1 innings. Lopez is 43-43 with a 3.92 ERA in 136 starts total over his career.

Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers Prediction

I’ll probably take a stab on the Twins, but I’m probably not touching this one. Lopez had a good start in a victory over Seattle on May 9 (6.1 innings; one earned) but since then he’s struggled. In his last pair combined Lopez is 0-2 with 10 earned runs on 18 hits and a walk in 11.1 total innings. He’ll need a good bounce-back in this one.

On Saturday the Twins took a while to get going offensively but to their credit the team finished strong. Alex Kirilloff’s three RBI and two runs certainly helped. I’d like to see a more well-rounded offensive output in the finale, but Minnesota should be in good shape regardless.
