NY Yankees vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction 4-5-24 Picks

The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees meet Friday in MLB action from Yankee Stadium. Here’s a Blue Jays vs Yankees prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game. We will examine:

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

The Blue Jays took on the Houston Astros this week in their most recent series. Toronto lost the Monday matchup 10-0, then took a 2-1 win in game two. In the Wednesday rubber match, the Jays lost 8-0 in another shutout. The offense mustered just one hit in that finale, courtesy of Daulton Varsho.

For their starter in the Friday matchup with New York, Toronto will send out Yusei Kikuchi. In his lone start this year, Kikuchi took a loss, going 4.1 innings with three earned. In his career, Kikuchi is 32-38 with a 4.72 ERA in 135 games (123 starts).

New York Yankees Betting Preview

Over on the Yankees’ side, they played the Arizona Diamondbacks in their latest series. New York won 5-2 in the opener before a 7-0 game two loss. In the Wednesday finale, the Yankees took the set with a 6-5 win over 11 innings. Aaron Judge (three RBI; two hits) and Alex Verdugo (two RBI) each had a homer in the win.

Marcus Stroman will be making the start for the Yankees on Friday. In his first start of the season, Stroman beat the Astros with 6.0 clean frames, four hits, two walks and four Ks. In his career, Stroman has a 78-76 record with a 3.64 ERA in 232 games (224 starts).

Blue Jays vs Yankees Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Yankees here. New York played pretty well in their series versus the Diamondbacks this week, outside of the 7-0 blowout loss Tuesday. New York has scored four or more runs in six of their seven games so far. That includes a 5-3 win over Houston in Stroman’s first start of the season.

As for Toronto, they’ve been a mixed bag this year. The Blue Jays were outscored 19-2 in three games versus the Astros this week, with two shutouts added in there. If Stroman is on point Friday, it’s going to be tough for the Jays to find many early scoring chances.
