In this article we will formulate a Rangers vs Dodgers prediction for this MLB game on Sunday, April 20th at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Texas Rangers Betting Preview

The Texas Rangers are 13-8 this season after they won game two by a score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon. Texas trailed 3-2 late in the game, but they got a two run homer in the ninth for the win. The Rangers recorded five hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Garcia and Higashioka, who both had one home run and two RBIs in the win. Texas started Eovaldi, who allowed five hits and two earned runs over 6.0 innings, while Webb pitched the final two innings for the win.

Prior to this series, the Rangers swept the Angels in three games, but lost all three against the Mariners before that. Texas has won four of their last five games and they are currently leading the AL West standings. The Texas pitching staff has a 3.34 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP and a .216 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 67 runs with a .223 batting average and a .276 on base percentage this season. Adolis Garcia has led Texas with four home runs and nine RBIs, while Jake Burger has added two home runs and eight RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Texas is Tyler Mahle, who is 3-0 with a 0.92 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP over 19.2 innings pitched this season.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers are 15-7 this year and they have split the first two games in this series by scores of 3-0 and 3-4. In that game two loss, the Dodgers erased a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, but they couldn’t score anymore runs and ended up losing in the ninth. The Dodgers recorded six hits in the game and they were led by Freeman, who went 1-4 with one home run and two RBIs in the loss. LA started Sasaki, who allowed two hits and two earned runs over 6.0 innings, while Yates allowed two earned runs in the ninth for the blown save and the loss.

Prior to this series, the Dodgers swept the Rockies in three games, but did lose two out of three against the Cubs before that. Los Angeles has won four of their last five games and they are currently second in the NL West standings. The Los Angeles pitching staff has a 3.71 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP and a .220 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 99 runs with a .232 batting average and a .316 on base percentage this season. Teoscar Hernandez has led LA with five home runs and 17 RBI’s, while Tommy Edman has added seven home runs and 15 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Los Angeles is Tyler Glasnow, who is 1-0 with a 4.85 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP over 13.0 innings pitched this season.

Rangers vs Dodgers Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup playing very well over the last week and they will be looking for the series win here. The Dodgers are 5-5 on the road this year, while the Rangers are 10-2 at home. Texas was able to get the walk-off win on Saturday, so they should have plenty of momentum here. The Rangers are starting Mahle, who has allowed one earned run in his last three starts (18.0 IP). LA is going with Glasnow, who has pitched very well in two of his three starts. This should be a very good pitching matchup, but I will ride with Mahle and the Rangers with the plus money, as he has been one of the best pitchers to start the season.
