Denver Nuggets vs Houston Rockets Prediction 11-29-23 NBA Picks

The Houston Rockets pay a visit to the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Wednesday night. Here’s a Rockets vs Nuggets prediction.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be looking to bounce back here after falling just short to the Mavericks in a 121-115 loss last night. Alperen Sengun led the team with 31 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Jabari Smith Jr and Dillon Brooks scored 16 points each while Fred VanVleet tallied 10 points with 12 assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 49 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they took it to the Mavericks, pouring in 38 points in the third quarter to build a nine-point lead, only to let their hard work go to waste in the fourth quarter where they allowed 37 points to the Mavericks.

Denver Nuggets

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets haven’t been at their best lately as they’ve lost four of their last seven games, but they will be going for a third straight win after outlasting the Clippers in a 113-104 road win on Monday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 35 points and 13 assists on 15 of 19 shooting, DeAndre Jordan added 21 points with 13 rebounds and five assists on eight of 11 shooting while Justin Holiday chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 22 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they scored just 19 points in the third quarter to fall behind by 11 points, before they dominated the fourth quarter by 36-16 to win with ease despite playing without Nikola Jokic or Jamal Murray.

Peter’s Pick

There is plenty of uncertainty around the Nuggets’ starters as Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray are all listed as questionable, but the Nuggets still open as favorites at home, especially with the Rockets playing this one on zero days’ rest. The Rockets were more than competitive against the Mavericks last night, but they’ve lost all their six road games so far and I think that trend continues here. The Nuggets looked good in their last win and I think they can keep it going with another one here.
