Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets Prediction 2-25-24 Picks

The Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors duke it out at the Chase Center on Sunday night. Here’s a Nuggets vs Warriors Prediction.

Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after routing the Trail Blazers in a 127-112 road win on Friday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 34 points and 12 rebounds on 13 of 21 shooting, Nikola Jokic tallied a triple-double of 29 points with 15 rebounds and 14 assists while Collin Gillespie chipped in with 18 points on seven of nine shooting. As a team, the Nuggets shot 58 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early, pouring in 38 points in the second quarter to open a 22-point lead, which allowed them to cruise in the second half and rest some starters early.

Golden State Warriors

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in red-hot form as they’ve won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after routing the Hornets in a 97-84 win on Friday. Stephen Curry led the team with 15 points and five assists, Andrew Wiggins added 14 points while Brandin Bpodziemski chipped in with 13 points and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot 42 percent from the field and 13 of 42 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they were always in control after restricting the Hornets to just 29 points in the first half. The Warriors led by as many as 23 points in this one before the Hornets went on a late run to keep the final scores somewhat respectable. The Warriors will play against the Wizards after this game.

Nuggets vs Warriors Prediction

The Nuggets could be short handed once again with Jamal Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both listed as questionable for this one, while the Warriors are still missing Chris Paul. The Nuggets haven’t been firing on all cylinders as they’ve been hit by a couple of injuries to key players, but they’re still slight road favorites which is a bit surprising given that the Warriors are playing their best basketball of the season. You can make an argument for either side here, but I think the Warriors can get the job done at home against this Nuggets team who could be depleted here.
