Los Angeles Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction 12-29-23 NBA Picks

The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday night. Here’s a Clippers vs Grizzlies Prediction.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in decent shape as they were riding a four-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Nuggets in a 142-105 road defeat last night. Desmond Bane led the team with 23 points on nine of 13 shooting, Marcus Smart added 17 points with five assists while Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 42 percent from the field and 13 of 35 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and just had no chance of coming back after falling behind by 17 points going into halftime. Ja Morant was a chance to play, but decided to sit out with an illness.

Los Angeles Clippers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in great form as they’ve won 10 of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after sneaking past the Hornets in a 113-104 win on Tuesday. James Harden led the team with 29 points and eight assists on eight of 16 shooting, Paul George added 25 points while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 18 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the pesky Hornets in a close contest, until they went on a decisive 16-0 run in the fourth quarter to snatch the game away.

Clippers vs Grizzlies Prediction

The Grizzlies are shorthanded again with Ja Morant already ruled out with an illness, while the Clippers are keeping an eye on Kawhi Leonard who is questionable for this one. The Grizzlies didn’t look like the same team without Morant in the lineup last night and I just don’t see how they can improve in time to trouble the Clippers who have been one of the hottest teams in the league. The Clippers could be missing Leonard again, but I still think they win this one with ease at home.
