Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction 12-30-23 NBA Picks

The Los Angeles Lakers travel to the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night. Here’s a Lakers vs Timberwolves Prediction.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t been at their best lately as they’ve lost six of their last 10 games, but they willl be eager to build some momentum after making light work of the Hornets in a 133-112 win on Thursday. Anthony Davis led the team with 26 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, Rui Hachimura and LeBron James scored 17 points each while D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves scored 16 points each. As a team, the Lakers shot 53 percent from the field and 15 of 30 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the pesky Hornets in a tight contest, until they exploded for 41 points in the third quarter to pull away and finish with the much-needed home win. The Lakers will face the Pelicans and Heat after this game.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games and they will be hoping to keep it going after taking down the Mavericks in a 118-110 home win on Thursday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 44 points on 12 of 23 shooting, Rudy Gobert added 20 points with 11 rebounds and three blocks while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 33 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early double-digit lead, before they poured in another 37 points in the third quarter to push the lead out to 18 points at one stage.

Lakers vs Timberwolves Prediction

The Lakers are keeping eyes on LeBron James and Anthony Davis who are both questionable, while the Timberwolves have listed Karl-Anthony Towns as questionable for this one. The Lakers really hope that their big win over the Hornets on Thursday can snap them out of the funk they’ve been in, but I’m not convinced that they’ve turned the corner just yet. The TImberwolves have been one of the most consistent teams all season and I think they represent decent value as the slight favorite at home where they’ve won 13 of 14 games so far. Give me the Timberwolves to get the job done at home in a close one.
