New Orleans Pelicans vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction 12-26-23 NBA Picks

The New Orleans Pelicans play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night. Here’s a Pelicans vs Grizzlies Prediction.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies are starting to heat up as they are now aiming for a fourth straight victory after taking down the Hawks in a 125-119 road win on Saturday. Desmond Bane led the team with 37 points and six assists on 13 of 25 shooting, Ja Morant added 30 points and 11 assists while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 20 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 51 percent from the field and 11 of 33 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Hawks in the first half and fell behind by 12 points, before the Grizzlies erupted for 75 points in the second half to pull off the impressive comeback. With the win, the Grizzlies improve to 3-0 with Morant in the lineup and 7-8 on the road this season.

New Orleans Pelicans

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling just short to the Rockets in a 106-104 loss on Saturday. Zion Williamson led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 11 of 16 shooting, Brandon Ingram added 19 points with five assists while CJ McCollum chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 31 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Rockets in a game that never got out to more than seven points, only to come up painfully short after scoring just 20 points in the fourth quarter. The Pels will face the Jazz after this one.

Pelicans vs Grizzlies Prediction

The Grizzlies are still shorthanded with Derrick Rose, Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart still out, while the Pelicans are keeping an eye on Cody Zeller who is questionable with an ankle sprain. The Grizzlies have looked like a completely different team since Morant returned to the lineup and that all started with a thrilling 115-113 win over the Pelicans last Wednesday. The Pelicans led by as many as 24 points in that game before the Grizzlies rallied to snatch the win on a game-winner from Ja Morant. The Pelicans will surely remember that loss and they’ll be ready for this one, so I’m backing the Pelicans to spoil the Grizzlies’ party with a revenge win at home in this one.
