The Utah Jazz have been in great form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiminig for a third straight win after beating the Raptors in a 126-119 road win on Saturday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and five assists on 12 of 21 shooting, Jordan Clarkson added 30 points and six assists off the bench while Collin Sexton chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 52 percent from the field and 17 of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and looked to be in serious trouble after falling behind by 17 points before they dominated the fourth quarter by 41-21 to pull off the impressive comeback. The Jazz will meet the Pelicans after this one.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 22 of their past 23 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Mavericks in a 144-119 road defeat on Saturday. Jeremy Sochan led the team with 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists on nine of 16 shooting, Keldon Johnson added 16 points off the bench while Zach Collins chipped in with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 44 percent from the field and 14 of 45 from the 3-point line, but their defense was the problem once again as they allowed 40 points in the first quarter and another 45 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 41 points at one stage. The Spurs will face the Blazers in a back-to-back set after this game.

The Jazz have come to life with five wins in their last seven games, they looked great in their comeback win over the Raptors on Saturday and they are now up against one of the coldest teams in the league. The Spurs have been in dreadful form lately and they could be without their big man, so I’ll happily side with the Jazz at the short line in this spot.
