New York Knicks vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction 11-28-23 NBA Picks

The Charlotte Hornets invade Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. Here’s a Hornets vs Knicks prediction.

Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have been in a funk as they’ve lost five of their last seven games, but they were aiming for a third straight victory before they fell to the Magic in a 130-117 road loss on Sunday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 23 points on nine of 17 shooting, Terry Rozier added 22 points with nine assists while Brandon Miller chipped in with 20 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Hornets shot 53 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line which are good enough numbers to compete with most teams, but they let themselves down on defense as they leaked 36 points in the second quarter and another 38 points in the fourth quarter.

New York Knicks

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back here after coming up just short to the shorthanded Suns in a 116-113 loss on Sunday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 35 points and eight assists on 15 of 25 shooting, Julius Randle added 28 points while Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 18 points off the bench, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Knicks shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line as they clawed their way back from a 15-point deficit, only to fall victim to a game-winner from the Suns’ Devin Booker with just 1.1 seconds left on the clock.

Peter’s Pick

The Hornets have really struggled to get going this season and they took another shot to the guts after getting routed by the Magic on Sunday. The Knicks come in as the team in better form, but they will be disappointed that they couldn’t beat the shorthanded Suns who were missing their two best players. The line is quite hefty here, but I think the Knicks bounce back with a much-needed win at home.
