As a team, the Hawks shot just 42 percent from the field and nine of 41 from the 3-point line, but the real problems were on the defensive end as the Hawks just had no answers for the Lakers who already had 111 points going into the fourth quarter.
Phoenix Suns
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the 76ers in a 115-102 home win last night. Grayson Allen drained nine 3-pointers to lead the team with 32 points and five assists, Kevin Durant added 22 points with eight rebounds and four assists while Devin Booker chipped in with 18 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and 19 of 39 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a 39-point explosion in the second quarter, before they dominated the third quarter by 30-19 to lead by as many as 26 points at one stage. The Suns will play against the Spurs and Nuggets after this game.

The Hawks are still missing a bunch of players including Jalen Johnson, AJ Griffin and Saddiq Bey to name a few, while the Suns are still missing Damion Lee and Josh Okogie. The Hawks have really been doing it tough with all the injuries they’ve had to deal with and they certainly didn’t look great in their ugly loss to the Lakers on Monday, while the Suns are back to full strength and it’s translated into instant success for them. The line is reasonable for this one, so I’m sticking with the Suns to maintain their momentum with a win and cover at home.
