As a team, the Knicks shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 37 from the 3-point line as they opened the game on an 18-4 run to take control early and they just kept their foot on the gas, pushing the lead out to 15 points which was more than enough to hold off a late charge from the Warriors in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in terrific shape as they’ve won 12 of their last 14 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after sneaking past the Timberwolves in a 115-112 road win on Tuesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 35 points and 16 rebounds on 14 of 22 shooting, Michael Porter Jr added 26 points on nine of 15 shooting while Jamal Murray chipped in with 18 points and 11 assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 51 percent from the field and 14 of 27 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Timberwolves from the start, pouring in 70 points in the first half to take an early 18-point lead, but they allowed the Timberwolves back into the contest and needed to close the final 6:50 on a 26-19 run to escape with the narrow win in the end. The Nuggets will take on the Trail Blazers, Grizzlies, and Suns after this one.

Both teams come into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum, so while I like the Nuggets to stay hot with another win at home, I expect the Knicks to play tough basketball and hang around long enough to get the backdoor cover.
