Minnesota woke up after that however, posting 22 unanswered points in a 39-22 victory. QB Carson Wentz was 12-of-19 for 133 yards and three scores while Justin Jefferson caught eight balls for 92 yards and two of the scores for Minnesota.
Chicago Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Bears’ side, they had a comparatively better season in 2025. Chicago rolled to a nice 11-6 overall record, securing an NFC North title for the first time in seven years. The Bears were able to beat the rival Packers in the Wild Card Playoffs 31-27 and moved on to the Divisional Round versus the Rams. Chicago would lose that one 20-17 in overtime, however.
Matched up against the Panthers in their opener, the Bears went on a scoring tear from the very beginning. Chicago put up 14 points in three of the four quarters (and 17 in the other) on the way to a 59-37 victory. QB Caleb Williams was 21-of-29 for 269 yards and two touchdowns, but D’Andre Swift did most of the damage on 18 carries for 124 yards and three scores.

Bears vs Vikings Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Vikings but I could go either way on this one. Minnesota didn’t really get going on the scoreboard in the Green Bay game until the fourth quarter, and mustered just 239 yards and 3.9 yards per play in total. Still, the Vikes went a pretty solid 8-of-15 on third downs with 19 first downs and 32:58 in time of possession. The two takeaways and the Packers 12 penalties for 98 yards helped immensely as well. This is going to be another tricky game for Minnesota, and probably even more difficult.
As for the Bears, they gathered up a whopping 552 yards (291 rushing), 7.9 yards per play, 26 first downs and 10-of-14 on third-down tries in their Week 1 win over Carolina. Chicago’s defense gave up 478 yards on the other side but also had three takeaways. It was a penalty-heavy game, with the Bears accounting for 12 of the 23 total flags. Chicago could be dangerous this year if they can keep the offense humming.
