LA Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction 9-22-24 Picks

In this article, we will formulate an LA Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction for this NFL Week 3 game on Sunday, September 22nd, at SoFi Stadium.

How Do the 49ers Bounce Back?

The 49ers have high expectations for this team, but they are coming off a loss, and they hope to bounce back with a victory in this game. The 49ers faced off against the Minnesota Vikings and they were defeated 23-17 victory. Brock Purdy did have a strong game, completing 28 of his 36 passes for 319 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Jordan Mason also had a big game, putting up 20 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown.

The defense had some major issues, though, and they let Sam Darnold look fantastic. In this game, if they want to find success, they are going to need the defense to be good. Not having Christian McCaffrey is a loss, but Mason has played well to start the season. If Mount can continue to play well, maybe when McCaffrey is back they can split the carries a bit more.

The Rams Have Some Issues

The Rams have some major issues heading into this game, and they have lost each of their first two games. In the first game of the season, the Rams were knocked off by the Lions 26-20 in overtime, and in the last game against the Arizona Cardinals, they were defeated 41-10. Matthew Stafford wasn’t good enough, completing 19 of his 27 passes for 216 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

The running game for the Rams wasn’t good enough. Blake Corum was the top rusher, finishing with eight carries for 28 yards. Kyren Williams also finished 12 carries for 25 yards and one touchdown. The defense also gave up 41 points, and that defense is going to need to figure it out quickly. This offense is talented, but no team has a whole lot of chances to find success when the defense is going to be up that many points.

LA Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction

The Rams looked awful last week, but I am not ready to lay this type of number with the 49ers. The 49ers defense isn’t going to be as good, and Matthew Stafford is going to have a big game here. Look for the Rams’ rushing attempt to also be better here, and it’s going to be the Rams that are going to keep it close. Los Angeles is going to keep it within a field goal. Back the Rams.
