The LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide do battle Saturday in a week 10 SEC college football showdown from Tiger Stadium.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to build on their 30-6 win over Mississippi State prior to their bye week last week, climbing to 7-1 on the year as a result. Bryce Young has thrown for 1,906 yards, 18 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 66.1% passing while Jahmyr Gibbs leads the Tide in rushing with 672 rushing yards along with 6 touchdowns and Jase McClellan has 312 rushing yards and 3 scores as well. Ja’Corey Brooks leads the Tide with 31 catches for 376 yards and 4 touchdowns while Gibbs and Jermaine Burton each have 300+ receiving yards and another three Alabama receivers have 200+ receiving yards, including Traeshon Holden who has 5 receiving TDs this season. On defense, Henry To’o To’o has a team-high 60 total tackles while DeMarcco Hellams has 59 total tackles and Will Anderson Jr. has a team-high 6 sacks this season.

The LSU Tigers will be off of their bye as well, sitting at 6-2 after back-to-back wins following a 45-20 win over Ole Miss last time out. Jayden Daniels has thrown for 1,812 yards, 12 touchdowns and an interception on 69.9% passing while also rushing for a team-high 524 yards and 9 scores. Josh Goodwin has 306 rushing yards with 4 touchdowns and Armoni Goodwin has 254 rushing yards with 5 TDs while Malik Nabers leads LSU’s receivers with 36 grabs for 455 yards. Three more LSU receivers have at least 200 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Micah Baskerville has a team-high 49 total tackles including 27 solo tackles while LSU’s defense has combined for 17 sacks and 5 interceptions this season.

Alabama is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games against a team with a winning home record while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 games against a team with a winning record. LSU is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 20-8-1 in their last 29 games in November.

I get the case to be made on either side here, but I’m leaning towards LSU here. This is going to be an awesome game, and I wouldn’t fault you for taking Alabama, but the thing here is that I haven’t been impressed with the Tide on the road. Sure, they had the win over Arkansas, but they also narrowly scraped by Texas and while I’m not knocking the loss to Tennessee as some weird stuff happened in the end of that game and Alabama did claw back to make it a game, the reality is they still allowed 52 points in that one and lost the game. Baton Rouge should be ready and rocking for this game as this is as big as it gets. Not sure LSU wins this outright, but I think it could be a one score game. Give me LSU and the points.
