Abilene Christian Wildcats Betting Preview

The Abilene Christian Wildcats are coming off a 13-win season and have won double-digit games in each of the last 10 seasons. Immanuel Allen returns after averaging 10.8 points and 2.5 rebounds, while Tobias Cameron averaged 9.9 points and 2.4 assists. Airion Simmons played in 691 minutes last season, and Ali Abdou Dibba averaged 3.1 rebounds. Abilene Christian had just one double-digit scorer last season, but had a ton of depth and six players who averaged at least 8.5 points. There are not a lot of difference makers on this Abilene Christian squad, but there’s a boatload of guys who can chip in. Abilene Christian is a sneaky good team in the WAC.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Preview

The Oklahoma State Cowboys won 20 games last year and have won 20-plus games in 4 of their last 7 seasons. Coach Mike Boynton returns for his seventh season. Bryce Thompson returns after averaging 11.8 points and 2.6 rebounds, while John-Michael Wright averaged 9.8 points and 2 assists. Weston Church played in 8 minutes last season and Quion Williams averaged 2.5 rebounds. Oklahoma State returns its top player in Thompson, but the rest of this roster will look different with so much production gone. Isaiah Miranda comes over from NC State and Javon Small transferred from East Carolina. Thompson is a difference maker, but OK State will have to figure out this roster to compete in the Big 12.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are at home and have the best player on the floor in Thompson, but Abilene Christian has the experience edge and far more players who are used to playing together. Abilene Christian isn’t flashy and doesn’t have many guys who can take over, but being comfortable playing together helps this time of year while other teams are trying to find their footing. This is a game the Abilene Christian Wildcats can hang around, given that OK State has so many new faces. Give me the points.
