The Eastern Michigan Eagles head to Central Michigan on Tuesday to square off against the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The Central Michigan Chippewas are definitely having a down year as CMU is just 2-9 in conference play this season, and the Chippewas have an overall mark of just 7-17 on the year. Central Michigan has lost nine games in a row heading into Tuesday, and in their last outing the Chippewas were handled by the Miami of Ohio Redhawks 69-50. The Chippewas have one of the worst ranked offenses in the entire nation as the Chippewas are scoring just over 61 points per game this season.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles aren't playing great ball this season, but Eastern Michigan is still atop the West division standings in the MAC conference. The Eagles are 6-5 in conference play, however Eastern Michigan still has a losing record overall this season at 11-14. The Eagles earned an impressive victory in their last outing as EMU defeated the Ohio Bobcats 68-55, ending a three game skid for Eastern Michigan.
The Central Michigan Chippewas are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games, and the Chippewas have been in some low scoring games recently as seven of the last eight games for CMU have gone under the number. The Eagles are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games on the road at Central Michigan.
With neither the Chippewas or the Eagles having much of an offense, I have to go with the under here. Further cementing my pick is the current trend on the under for CMU, and with the Eagles offense ranked even worse than CMU, I think the under is the play here on Tuesday.
