The Phoenix Suns travel to the FedExForum to take on the Memphis Grizzlies tonight.
The Suns have won six of their last nine and are coming off a dramatic 104-103 victory over the Timberwolves thanks to a game winning baseline jumper by Gerald Green. Goran Dragic led the way with 26 points and nine assists while Channing Frye made five three pointers on his way to 22 points in a game that was surprisingly sloppy for two usually free-flowing offenses. Sure, the Suns' defense should get some credit for limiting Kevin Love's effectiveness in the game, but he missed a lot of easy shots to finish with 15 points on a season-worst four of 20 shooting. The bottom line is that Phoenix will take the win and improve to 21-13 on the season and 9-8 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have lost three of their last five and are coming off a heartbreaking 110-108 overtime loss to the Spurs where they fought back from a 16-point deficit with five minutes to go and forced overtime, only to fall short on a game-winning layup by Manu Ginobili. Mike Conley had a strong outing of 30 points while Zach Randolph added 17, but despite the furious comeback at the end of the game, it was just a case of too little, too late against the Spurs who controlled most of the game. With the loss, Memphis fall to 15-19 on the season and 7-12 at home.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games and 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a win, while the Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 6-15 ATS in their last 21 home games.
Head to head, the Suns are 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Memphis and the Over is 4-0 in the last four.
A lot of the trends and stats point towards the Suns covering the spread here and maybe winning outright, but I saw the way the Grizzlies handled the Suns over a week ago and I think it's going to be more of the same tonight. Dragic is playing great basketball now but the Suns aren't as dangerous with Eric Bledsoe on the sidelines so I'm sticking with the Griz at home in this one.
