The Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards meet for Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs tonight.
The Bulls have been a model of consistency all season but you always worried about them because they don't have a go-to scorer and it really hurt them in Game 1 on Sunday. Tony Snell and Kirk Hinrich each scored 16 points to lead seven players in double figures, but the Bulls just fell apart in the second half, getting outscored by 54-39, including 30-18 in the fourth quarter. Obviously, the Bulls will need to improve offensively if they want to win Game 2, but they'll need to start by tightening up on the defensive end as they allowed the Wizards to shoot 49 percent from the field and outrebound them by 45-39, leading to just four 2nd-chance points in the second half after scoring 13 in the first.

Meanwhile, the Wizards will be absolutely delighted with how Game 1 went for them. Defensively, they were able to hold the Bulls to just 42 percent shooting but it's all about the offense when it comes to the Wizards and that's where they really shone. Nene dominated the paint with 24 points while John Wall added 16, but it didn't stop there as Trevor Ariza added 18 and even Andre Miller added 10 points in 14 minutes off the bench. Washington did a great job of locking down in the second half but it wasn't until the final six minutes of the game where the Wizards took the game away from the Bulls, outscoring them by 18-6 to steal Game 1 and home-court advantage.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win and 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, while the Bulls are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Wizards are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and a dominant 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Chicago.
I know all the ATS trends are pointing to the Wizards covering tonight but we've seen for years now that the Bulls are dangerous after a loss and I expect nothing less than a bounce-back win and cover here.
