The Toronto Raptors head back home on Wednesday to play host to the struggling Detroit Pistons.

The Detroit Pistons head North to the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday to face the Raptors in Toronto.

The Toronto Raptors have been playing well lately as the Raptors are winners of their last three. The Raptors even got a road win on Tuesday, their first since early November. The Raptors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday by the total of 113-99. The Raptors looked good on the road as the Cavs jumped out to an early first half lead, but Toronto showed some guts on the road and were able to fight back in the second half, cruising to the relatively easy win. The Raptors had six different players reach double digit points against the Cavs, with Jose Calderon leading the way with 23. This is a lot of traveling for the Raptors in just two days, but hopefully for Toronto, they can use the momentum of this win to get on a streak.

The Detroit Pistons are just 7-20 on the season and the Pistons have currently dropped their last five. The Pistons are quickly falling farther and farther behind in the Central, as the Pistons now trail the Chicago Bulls by 8.5 games. Last season the Pistons relied on their defense to carry them, and even though the Pistons are still playing well defensively, Detroit isn't playing nearly as solid as a season ago, giving up an average of 97 per game. Offensively the Pistons are ranked near the bottom of the league, scoring just 93.4 per game. Last time out, Detroit fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 88-76 at home on Monday night.

The Raptors are an even 13-13 against the spread this season, and while playing at home, Toronto is 7-3 against the number. The Pistons are just 11-16 against the spread this year, and on the road, Detroit is 6-8 against the spread.

There are actually a couple pretty strong plays here for me, but I'll take the side. I like the over and I thought about making that my play, but the safest play looks to be with the Raptors. Toronto has all kinds of momentum right now, and I look for the Raptors to keep that going here on Wednesday. The Pistons are reeling, and while I think Detroit is good enough to right the ship somewhat, this is not a playoff team and Detroit is just in a bad spot here having to travel to Toronto and face a hot Raptors team. Take the Raptors here.
