The Edmonton Oilers look to build on their win in Ottawa and exact some revenge against the Canadiens when they head to the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The Oilers have been a team destined for greatness over the past few seasons after they have accumulated a number of top end draft picks to add to an already impressive young roster, but unfortunately they haven’t been able to put it all together and haven’t made the playoffs since 2006. While there is no arguing Edmonton is an exciting team to watch as they can score goals with anybody it is their defensive and net minding play that has Oilers fans concerned as they have been atrcoius in the defensive end this year. That is until last Saturday when Devan Dubnyk had his best game of the year limiting the Sens to just a single fluky goal as the Oilers escaped Ottawa with an impressive 3-1 victory. Now we get the chance to see if they can follow up one great game with another as they head to the Bell Centre to face the Canadiens.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Edmonton Oilers - 10/22/13

Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Montreal has looked decent this season but most of their best efforts have come away from home including a 4-1 victory over the Oilers in Edmonton a couple weeks ago. The Habs will hope that lightning strikes twice here as they host Edmonton at the Bell Centre as the Oilers wrap up their Eastern Canada swing in Montreal. The Habs are likely to go with Carey Price here against Devan Dubnyk which gives the goaltending edge to the Canadiens as Price’s GAA hovers just over the two mark while Dubnyk’s is well over four. However, the Oilers seem to do very well in these Eastern Canada swings and while they didn’t get the win against the Leafs they did take them to a shootout before defeating the Sens on Saturday. This is a very good price for two teams that are closer than their records indicate and I am taking Edmonton to escape with two points.
