The Winnipeg Jets continue their road trip when they head to the Scottrade Center on Tuesday night. They managed to get a big win in Dallas the other night and almost had another one on Sunday against a very tough Colorado Avalanche club. The Jets couldn't hang on to a 2-1 lead in the third period and ended up suffering a regulation 3-2 defeat. Blake Wheeler's fourth goal of the season gave the Jets the lead in the second period after Bryan Little tied the game 1-1 with his sixth of the season in the first period. Winnipeg just couldn't handle the Avalanche over the final 20 minutes, getting outshot 17-6 in the frame. Al Montoya made 33 saves but couldn't make the big one in the third when the club needed it. Now they head to St. Louis to take on a Blues club that just keeps going about their business and finding ways to win. They beat up on the Nashville Predators on Saturday night, watching as Alexander Steen notched his ninth and 10th goals of the year to help them to a 6-1 win. T.J. Oshie, Jaden Schwartz, Derek Roy, and Alex Pietrangelo also added goals and Jaroslav Halak made 22 saves. The line in this one is rough but with the way the Blues have been playing lately they should be able to handle the total.
