The Canucks look to sweep their double header after a win against the Oilers last night as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Vancouver on Saturday.

The Lightning look to get off on the right foot in their first road game of the season after opening with four straight games at home and they'll have to do so against a Canucks team that has won both games this season. Tampa earned two victories and a shootout loss in three of their first four games and have just the lone contest in which they didn't salvage at least a point but as mentioned all four of those games were at home where the expectation is to win. The Bolts however have a very strong team that should definitely be in contention in the East this season especially if goaltender Ben Bishop can continue his strong play and he will have to be on point here as the Canucks are a good team playing with a huge chip on their shoulder. Bishop gets the call here for Tampa as he will likely suit up against Eddie Lack who will be making his first start of the season.
Vancouver endured a tumultuous season last year starting from the circus that was hiring John Tortorella as well as the goaltending debacle that was ultimately messed up by former GM Mike Gillis and as such the on ice product suffered immensely. Fast forward a year though and the Canucks have undergone a huge overhaul both on and off the ice and look like a new team playing with a new sense of confidence albeit only two games into the season and both victories coming against the lowly Edmonton Oilers. Ryan Miller has won both starts for the team this season including a shutout win last night in Edmonton but he will likely see the bench in this one as the team will turn to former interim starter Eddie Lack who is now cemented in as the team's backup. This should be an exciting game between two playoff hopefuls however I think the wrong team is favoured here despite the Canucks being at home as we get the better team at plus money against a backup goalie and a team who is playing in the second half of a double header?
