The hapless TCU Horned Frogs look to shock the world yet again as they tangle with the 9th ranked Kansas State Wildcats on Tuesday evening.

The hapless TCU Horned Frogs look to shock the world yet again as they tangle with the 9th ranked Kansas State Wildcats on Tuesday evening.  The Horned Frogs are sitting at 10-19 overall, 1-15 in Big 12 play while the Wildcats are currently 24-5 overall, 13-3 in Big 12 play.

I wonder how long it is going to take head coach Trent Johnson to turn TCU to a competitive team in the Big 12 if at all. The Horned Frogs are among if not the worst team in the major 6 conferences and have put up abysmal numbers all year.  TCU only has 1 win in the Big 12 and that was the huge shocker against the Kansas Jayhawks in which they were a 17 or 18 point underdog.  If the Horned Frogs are going compete with the big boys in the conference they are going to need to recruit more size as currently there tallest player is 6-8 Adrick Mckinney and the senior only averages about 24 minutes a game.  I am sure TCU can’t wait to put their inaugural season in the Big 12 behind them and try and improve on their porous record.

I still don’t understand why the national media continues to ignore the 9th ranked Kansas State Wildcats as a serious threat come postseason play.  Unlike some teams, the Wildcats have no bad losses on the season and Kansas State proved on Saturday that they have the will to win.  Kansas State found themselves in a dogfight with the Baylor Bears, a team fighting for the NCAA tournament lives.  It was a back and forth affair that came down to the wire with both teams tied at 61 with 1 second left.  The Baylor player attempted to inbound the ball all the way down to their end but overthrew the attended target and the ball went out of bounds.  So Kansas State had an opportunity to win the game and that is exactly what they did.  Rodney McGruder nailed a wide open 3 pointer to secure the victory and gave the Wildcats the 64-61 win.

Prediction: I think it’s pretty safe to say that the Kansas State Wildcats are going to win this game but the real question is by how much?  This is a lot of points to be laying but it is Senior night for the Wildcats and they are known for play suffocating defense.  Take Kansas State to lay a whopping of the TCU Horned Frogs.

Scott’s Pick: Kansas State -22
