The Iowa Hawkeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks meet Sunday in the women’s college basketball championship at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Iowa looks for its first ever title, while South Carolina looks for its third title. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Iowa vs South Carolina prediction.

Iowa Hawkeyes Betting Preview

The Iowa Hawkeyes are coming off wins over Holy Cross, West Virginia, Colorado, LSU and UConn. The Iowa Hawkeyes are averaging 91.4 points on 49.8 percent shooting and allowing 71.5 points on 39.8 percent shooting. Caitlin Clark is averaging 31.7 points and 7.3 rebounds, while Hannah Stuelke is averaging 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds. Kate Martin is the third double-digit scorer and Sydney Affolter is dishing 2.3 assists. The Iowa Hawkeyes are shooting 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 77.9 percent from the free throw line. South Carolina Gamecocks Betting Preview

The South Carolina Gamecocks are coming off wins over Presbyterian, North Carolina, Indiana, Oregon State and NC State. Iowa vs South Carolina prediction

I’m sure the public is going to be on Iowa and the points because of Caitlin Clark and her stardom. Iowa also beat South Carolina last year in the Final Four. However, Iowa was just in tight games against LSU and UConn. Against the Huskies, the Hawkeyes got some favorable calls to advance. South Carolina is steps above in competition, and 15 of its last 19 wins have been won by double digits. I’m sure Clark is going to do what she usually does, but it’s going to take more to be the first team to knock off South Carolina. The Gamecocks are deep and elite at both ends of the floor. I’d need an extra bucket or two to truly consider Iowa. Give me South Carolina and the reasonable line, as the Gamecocks win their third title since 2017.
