The Los Angeles Dodgers return home to host the Atlanta Braves in game three of their NLDS.
The Braves were completely shut down by Clayton Kershaw in the NLDS opener but received just enough hitting and pitching to even their series 1-1 with a 4-3 victory on Friday. Atlanta received a super effort on the mound from Mike Minor who wiggled out of a few jams with a single run given up on eight hits and a free pass over 6.1 frames while recording five K's. David Carpenter made things uncomfortable with with two runs plated in the 8th before Craig Kimbrel nailed down a four out save. The offense totaled six hits and walked three times with Jason Heyward rapping a two run single in the 7th to give the Bravos a 4-1 lead. Young right hander Julio Teheran is sheduled to be on the mound to face the Dodgers in game three. Teheran has either been good or bad the past ten times out with five quality starts but a 7-3 record.

After riding their ace to an easy win in the series opener the Dodgers had the tables turned on them Friday. The offense was held in check and even a great performance on the bump by Zach Greinke still wasn't enough to carry the load. Greinke allowed only two runs on on four hits through six innings which earned him a loss. Chris Withrow gave up what proved to be the eventual winning runs on a two run single in the 7th. Los Angeles had their share of runners on a ten hit, four walk attack that saw Hanley Ramirez crack a two run bomb and RBI double. The Dodgers turn to Hyun-Jin Ryu to contain the dangerous Atlanta lineup on Sunday. Ryu has been a steady performer in the rotation in the 2013 campaign where he has compiled a 14-8 record with a 3.00 ERA.
Teheran has never faced the Dodgers which could help in a crucial matsh up while Ryu has been very steady. Los Angeles is not unbeatable but I think Ryu can get the job done...
