Cincinnati Reds Vs. Miami Marlins 4/8/12
Tyrone’s Free MLB Baseball Pick
Joey Votto responded in the bottom-half with a two-run jack. Omar Infante leveled the game an inning later as Stanton's two-run single doubled up the Marlins over Cincinnati.
Mat Latos allowed four runs during 4.2 innings in his Reds debut. Ricky Nolasco performed a lot better conceding two runs during 6.1 frames. Miami score two more runs off of Hanley Ramirez's bat in the top of the seventh. The Marlins scored again during the eighth on John Buck's two-run homer. Cincinatti got one run back in the bottom-half of the inning on Zack Cozart's solo shot.
9-7 Carlos Zambrano with a 4.82 ERA and 9-12 Bronson Arroyo with a 5.07 ERA in 2011 take the mound for their respective clubs on Sunday in a rubber match. Zambrano, formerly of the Chicago Cubs, trumped the Reds 11-4 on August 4 during his last start in Chicago. Unfortunately Zambrano will have to showcase his talent at the Great American Ball Park where he took a 7-4 loss on May 16 last year. Zambrano was shelled for six runs during 5.1 innings.
Arroyo netted a 3-2 win at Miami on Aug. 24, but fell 9-5 at Great American 9-5. Arroyo held the Marlins scoreless for eight innings on the road, but at home was bombed for five runs during one less frame. Miami batters are 40-for-142 against Arroyo scoring 18 runs while Cincinatti batters are 54-for-217 against Zambrano with 30 runs scored. You can make a good case for either team winning. I originally was thinking the Marlins would win today, but changed my pick to the Reds at the last second. No mistake this time I'll go with Miami cashing in on their second winning streak of the young season.
Tyrone’s Pick: Miami +110
