The Golden State Warriors go for their second home win when they play the visiting Sacramento Kings tonight.
The Kings kicked off their season with a 90-88 win over the Nuggets thanks to a huge night from DeMarcus Cousins, but his 24 points and 10 rebounds just wasn't enough to get the team past the Clippers last night. Marcus Thornton added 17 points while Isaiah Thomas scored a game-high 29 points off the bench. In what was a physical encounter, Cousins received his first technical foul of the season for taunting Chris Paul, while the Clippers' Matt Barnes was called for a flagrant foul but the bottom line is that the Clippers had CP3 who took over the game in the clutch. On a side note, Greivis Vasquez played just 20 minutes to Thomas' 31 which could be a common occurrence for the Kings throughout the season.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are also coming off a loss to the Clippers, losing by 126-115 on Thursday night despite a massive night from Stephen Curry who made nine threes on his way to 38 points. David Lee added 22 points and Andre Iguodala had a double double of 14 points and 11 assists, but there was just no stopping Chris Paul who exploded for 42 points, 15 assists and six steals. Another issue was turnovers, Curry committed a career-high 11 of the team's 24 turnovers which the Clippers converted into 28 points so that'll definitely be a point of emphasis for the team moving forward.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss, while the Warriors are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a double digit loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games.
Head to head, the Kings have won three of the last four meetings and are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Golden State.
With Cousins leading the way, the Kings are looking like a much better team than I thought they would be but it's still early in the season and I think they'll struggle against a Warriors outfit who are pouring in the points. The Kings have had some recent success against the Warriors but I really don't like them in this spot. I'm taking the Warriors at home in this one.
