The Los Angeles Lakers collide with the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night from STAPLES Center.

Head to head, the Nets are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Los Angeles while the road team is 18-6-3 ATS in the last 27 meetings and the underdog is 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The Lakers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Atlantic and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Nets on the other hand are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 0 days rest.

The Los Angeles Lakers might be coming off a win over Boston Celtics on Friday night, but that was only their third victory in the past month. That win also snapped an eight-game home losing streak, which included blowout defeats against Houston, Utah, Charlotte and Denver. Simply put, the Lakers are not a very good basketball team, although the expected return of Nick Young should help. When you are counting on Nick Young to improve your team significantly, you know you've got problems.

The Brooklyn Nets are currently in the midst of a seven-game road trip, having gone 1-2 so far after falling 93-86 in Golden State last night. Overall, the Nets have been playing some pretty good basketball, but their play away from home hasn't been the best as they have dropped four of five on the road. Offense has been the main problem for Brooklyn when playing away from home as they have averaged just 90.5 points in their last six on the road.

I would like to take LA in this spot, but their play at home over the last couple of weeks has been pretty poor. Yes they get Young back, but now Jodie Meeks is injured, which pretty much cancels that out to a degree. The Nets have some tough road games coming up after this one so I'm sure they see this as a very winnable game. Brooklyn pulls away late for the hard fought victory and cover...
