The Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers duke it out at the crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have started to turn things around with four wins in their past five outings and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Clippers in a 110-95 road win last night. Kevin Durant led the way with 27 points on 10 of 16 shooting, Seth Curry added 22 points on nine of 15 shooting off the bench while Nic Claxton chipped in with 13 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and 16 of 35 from the 3-point line as they held the Clippers to just 19 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before exploding for 35 points in the fourth quarter to make it a complete blowout thanks to a flurry from Curry and Durant.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 10 of their first 12 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game slide after getting stopped by the Kings in a 120-114 loss on Friday. Anthony Davis led the way with 24 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, Russell Westbrook racked up 21 points with 11 assists while Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves each scored 19 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 25 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 37 points in the second quarter to build a 13-point lead, only to get run down in the fourth quarter where they just had no answer for the Kings’ De’Aaron Fox who torched them for a near triple-double.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 3-9-2 ATS in their last 14 games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record. The Lakers are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a losing record, 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 17-8-1 in the last 26 meetings overall and the Nets are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Los Angeles.

The Nets will again be without Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry is listed as questionable, while the Lakers should have Anthony Davis in the lineup, but they have listed LeBron James as doubtful. The Lakers are desperate for a win to get out of their slump, but their confidence is at rock-bottom and they don’t have James in the lineup, so I’ll stick with the Nets who looked great in their big win over the Clippers last night.
