The Chicago Bears look to respond after an ugly loss to the Packers at home while the Panthers look for a similar result after getting pasted in Baltimore.
The Chicago Bears have been the epitome of a Jekyll and Hyde team so far this season as they have dropped both games at Soldier Field to the Bills and Packers but have two victories on the road against the Jets and 49ers. It is tough to figure them out as they have looked like Super Bowl contenders on some drives and the practice roster at Northwestern on others but with all things considered this is a pretty solid football team that should be in the mix come playoff time. The Bears and Packers were trading blows in the first half of last weekend’s thriller but ultimately it was the Packers who landed the knockout combo as they exploded in the second half and made a mockery of the Chicago defense in the process. Now, the Bears head to the road again looking to remain undefeated this time against a Carolina team that is as solid as they come on defense but has been dreadful on offense and has taken some pretty bad beatings this season.

The Panthers were expected by many to approach the 12 win mark that they reached last season and while the talent is there they haven’t demonstrated they can be a playoff team and at the moment they look dreadful. Carolina was waxed on the road against the Ravens in which former Panthers wide out went off for triple digits and two touchdowns and while that result could have been a product of circumstance the Panthers have been a wreck on offense all season aside from first year wide out Kelvin Benjamin. If Jared Allen is back from having pneumonia he will certainly be itching to get tons of pressure on Newton and with the offense being what it has been for Carolina so far I wouldn’t be surprised to see another lackluster effort from Newton and the aerial attack. Chicago to me is the more complete team despite their injuries on defense and I think their
