The Los Angeles Lakers pay a visit to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center on Friday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been doing it tough so far this season, but they were on a three-game win streak before getting stopped by the Suns in a 115-105 road loss on Tuesday. Anthony Davis led the team with 37 points, 21 rebounds, five steals and five blocks, Lonnie Walker added 24 points while Russell Westbrook chipped in with 21 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Lakers shot just 42 percent from the field and a miserly four of 22 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Suns in a close contest, until the second half where the Suns poured in 62 points to pull away in the end. Dennis Schroder had a rough night as he finished scoreless on zero of six shooting off the bench while Troy Brown Jr finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been ice-cold lately as they’ve lost 11 of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a six-game slide losing streak after getting routed by the Pelicans in a 129-110 loss on Wednesday. Devin Vassell led the team with 26 points and eight assists, Doug McDermott added 21 points on nine of 12 shooting off the bench while Keita Bates-Diop chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up with the Pelicans right from the start and never looked threatening after falling behind by 65-47 in the first half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 0-6 ATS in their last six road games, 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Spurs are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings overall and the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in San Antonio.

The Lakers should have Anthony Davis ready to go, but LeBron James is questionable, and Patrick Beverley is suspended. The Spurs has listed Josh Richardson as doubtful while Doug McDermott, Zach Collins and Jordan Hall are all questionable. These two squads last met on Sunday and it was the Lakers who strolled to a 123-92 home win thanks to a big game from Davis and while it shouldn’t be so easy, I have the Lakers continuing their rise with another win here.
