Colombia hasn’t been playing well in this tournament, but they somehow managed to reach the semifinals where they lost to Argentina. Peru was impressive in this tournament, and they were going toe to toe with Brazil in the semifinals, but they still lost.

Colombia is a talented team, they have the depth, they have solid midfield and defense, but their chemistry is just not good enough. After all of their struggles before this tournament, Peru has completely changed their game, and they were impressive in this Copa America. Peru has lost their opening game, but they were on a 4-game streak without a loss after that, until their game against Brazil in the semifinals. Peru has conceded a goal in the 35^th minute, but they were extremely dangerous in the second half, and they could have tied the score. Unfortunately for Peru, Brazil was defending well, and Peru has lost this game 1-0. Lapadula has had a solid tournament, and he is Peru’s leading goalscorer with 3 goals, while Carillo added 2 goals. Winning 3^rd place in this tournament would be much more than they expected, and it would certainly be a step in the right direction. Peru is a tough team to beat, and they will be tough in this game as well.

The trends are heavily on Colombia’s side in this matchup, but as I’ve mentioned earlier, their form has been bad in this tournament. Colombia is certainly the better team with more depth, but Peru will not just give up. I think this will be a rough game that could go either way, but I will stick to the draw.
