The Washington Mystics and New York Liberty meet Saturday in WNBA action at the IMG Academy.

The Washington Mystics need a win after losing 13 of their last 17 games. The Washington Mystics are averaging 80 points on 43.4 percent shooting and allowing 82.9 points on 46.8 percent shooting. Aerial Powers is averaging 16.3 points and 2.5 assists while Myisha Hines-Allen is averaging 15.1 points and 8.5 rebounds. Ariel Atkins is the third double-digit scorer and Emma Meesseman is grabbing 5.9 rebounds. The Washington Mystics are shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free throw line. The Washington Mystics allowing 37.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 31.5 rebounds per game.

The New York Liberty need a win after losing 13 of their last 14 games. The New York Liberty are averaging 72.2 points on 36.6 percent shooting and allowing 86.6 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Sabrina Ionescu is averaging 18.3 points and four assists while Layshia Clarendon is averaging 12.5 points and 2.9 rebounds. The New York Liberty are allowing 35.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.9 rebounds per game.

The Mystics are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Liberty are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite and 16-35-3 ATS in their last 54 games overall. The under is 5-2 in Mystics last 7 overall. The under is 5-1 in Liberty last 6 overall. The Mystics are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in New York.

The New York Liberty won the previous meeting against the Mystics when they were 16.5-point underdogs, so there’s a case to be made here for the points. However, the Washington Mystics are playing improved basketball as of late, which includes back to back victories over the Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx. The Mystics also took the Dallas Wings to overtime. This is easily the best stretch of basketball the Mystics have played since starting the season strong and then eventually falling apart before our eyes. Assuming this isn’t a two game fluke, the Mystics should have their way with a New York Liberty that doesn’t play defense and has issues covering numbers.

Give me the Mystics and whatever the line is.
