Osasuna is welcoming Barcelona to Estadio El Sadar in round 17 of the Spanish LaLiga. Osasuna is struggling right now, they haven’t won any of their last 5 games, and things are just not looking good for them right now. Barcelona got knocked out of the Champions League, they are not scoring goals, and they are very far from the top of the table.

Osasuna is an average team in LaLiga, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting them to ever be this good, but they are now in 11th place with 21 points. Defensively, Osasuna is solid with 19 conceded goals so far, but their offense is slacking right now with only 15 scored goals. There is no player in Osasuna with more than 2 scored goals so far, but Torres has 2 goals and 2 assists. The good news for Osasuna is their injury list is now gone, and that will certainly give them more depth and more options. Even if Osasuna doesn’t end up in the European spot, which they probably won’t, I think Osasuna will stay far away from the relegation zone, and they will have a season without pressure.

Barcelona on the other hand is under a lot of pressure, and things are not looking well for them right now. Barcelona got knocked out of the Champions League, and they will be playing in the Europa League, which might be a good thing for them because they might actually win it. Xavi has a lot of work to do with this team, on both ends, but I think they are moving in the right direction. There are a lot of young and talented players in this team already, and that is what they are focusing on. In LaLiga, Barcelona is far away from the title, and their only focus should be getting to the Champions League spot. Defensively, Barcelona is sloppy, slow, and they are making a ton of mistakes, while their offense is pretty dull right now, and even though they are creating chances, they are not scoring goals. The injury list is quite long for Barcelona, and that is certainly impacting their game, but it’s not an excuse for their poor performances. As I’ve mentioned, I think Barcelona is moving in the right direction, and after a few terrible games, it’s time for them to step up and get a nice win.

Osasuna has only 1 win at home so far this season, and their last home win against Barcelona was back in 2012. Barcelona is the better team here, and I think they will start playing better with every game, but Osasuna is first in line, and I see Barcelona getting a nice win.
