The Akron Zips and the Wright State Raiders meet in college basketball action from the Nutter Center on Wednesday night.

The Akron Zips come into this one looking to add to their current four-game winning streak after a 73-66 win over Florida A&M last time out. Enrique Freeman leads the Zips in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double per game with 13.6 PPG and 11.7 RPG while Ali Ali leads the Zips with 2.8 APG to go along with his 12 PPG and 3.9 APG. Xavier Castaneda and Bryan Trimble Jr. each have 10+ PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Akron up to this point in the season. I get the case for Wright State being favored at home, but the issue I take is that they haven’t beaten anybody of note to warrant being favored other than being at home and against a quality team like Akron, I need more reasoning than that. The Zips took Ohio State down to the wire and if we’re comparing apples to apples, Wright State was dismantled by another Big Ten power in Purdue. I just think that the wrong team is favored here so give me Akron and the points here.
