Getafe is hosting Real Madrid at Coliseum Alfonso Perez in round 19 of the Spanish LaLiga. Getafe is in the solid form right now, they have some positive results, but they are still very close to the relegation zone. Real Madrid is at the top of the table, and at the moment, they have an 8-point advantage ahead of Sevilla.
Getae is in 16th place in the LaLiga standings right now with 15 points, which is the same amount as Alaves in the relegation zone, but if Getafe can keep playing this well, they will gain some distance soon. Offensively, Getafe is not doing much, and they have scored only 12 goals so far this season. Defensively, Getafe is the best of all the bottom teams with 20 conceded goals in 18 games. Unal is the leading goalscorer for Getafe with 5 goals. Suarez has added 3 assists. There are still a few questionable players for Getafe for this game, but Mata will miss this match because of the yellow cards. Getafe is playing well right now, they are on a positive streak, but they need to keep it going in this new year, otherwise, this season might end badly for them.
Real is undefeated in their last 15 games, and overall, they are the best team in the league this season, and it’s not even a competition. With 41 scored goals, Real Madrid is by far the best offensive team in the league, and while their defense isn’t the best, it’s right there at the top with only 16 conceded goals. One player has been absolutely brilliant for Real Madrid this season, and that is Karim Benzema who scored 15 goals and added 7 assists for Real Madrid in LaLiga alone. Vinicius has added 10 goals, while Modric has added 4 assists. There are quite a few players in the covid protocol in Real Madrid right now, but most of them are bench players. Real is playing well in the Champions League as well, but they have drawn a tough opponent in the next stage, and that was PSG. With this big advantage over Sevilla, it’s hard to imagine Real Madrid not winning the title in LaLiga, but there is still a lot of games left, and a lot could change, but at the moment, Real is certainly enjoying being at the top of the table.
Getafe hasn’t had much success against Real Madrid in the past, and the bad news for Getafe right now is that Real has lost only 1 game on the road so far. Getafe might be in good form, and they might be playing well, but I’m going all-in with Real Madrid in this one.
