Sevilla vs. Getafe 1/9/22 LaLiga Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Sevilla is hosting Getafe at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in round 20 of the Spanish LaLiga. Sevilla is still on the hunt for that top spot, and with the form they are in right now, I think they might get there eventually. Getafe has gotten lucky against Real Madrid last weekend, but they now have only 1 loss in their last 8 games.

As I’ve mentioned, Sevilla is still hunting Real Madrid, and they are now 6 points behind them, in 2^nd place with 41 points. When it comes to the defense, Sevilla is by far the best in the league this season, and what Atletico was in the previous season, that is what Sevilla is today. The injury list is getting shorter for Sevilla, but Navas, Lamela, and Delaney are all still on it. Offensively, Sevilla is quite solid with 30 scored goals, and Ocampos and Mir have each scored 5 goals for them. Rakitic has added a few goals and 3 assists. I think Sevilla is a fantastic team, sure, they could use a bit more consistency when it comes to scoring goals, but their defense is good enough to give them wins even if they score only 1 goal.

Getafe might be in good form, and they might be undefeated in their last 6 LaLiga games, but they are still a weak offensive team who doesn’t stand a chance against the best defense in the league. Last weekend, Getafe has surprisingly beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home, but let’s admit it, they got lucky to have caught Real Madrid on a bad day in the attacking end.  Despite their solid run in LaLiga, Getafe is still a weak offensive team with only 13 scored goals so far, while they conceded 20 goals in 19 games. Unal is the leading goalscorer for Getafe with 6 goals so far this season. there aren’t any injuries in Getafe, but Olivera and Arambarri are both suspended because of the yellow cards. I know Getafe might be looking good right now, their confidence is high after that win last season, but it makes me wonder how much longer they can keep this up.

Getafe is still winless on the road this season, and I think it will stay that way. Sevilla hasn’t lost any of their last 5 home games, and their defense has been absolutely brilliant so far this season. Getafe also hasn’t won any of their last 5 games against Sevilla. All in on Sevilla here.
