Towson vs William & Mary 2/10/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The William & Mary Tribe will travel to SECU Arena to take on the Towson Tigers this Thursday night in College Basketball action.

The William & Mary Tribe lost their 2^nd straight game and dropped to 5-19 on the season after being defeated by the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, 92-70, this past Saturday. William & Mary had no answers on the defensive end against UNC Wilmington and could not fight back after the Seahawks took a 72-58 lead with 7:21 left in regulation. William & Mary shot 41.5% from the field & 55.6% from beyond the arc while allowing UNC Wilmington to shoot 61.8% from the field & 56.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tribe was Connor Kochera who had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, William & Mary is averaging 65.5 ppg on 41.1% shooting from the field. The Tribe are averaging 7.0 three-pointers per game on 30.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Towson struggled on the offensive end, especially from beyond the arc, against Northeastern and could not fight all the way back after going into halftime trailing by a 32-21 margin. Towson shot 43.8% from the field & 6.7% from beyond the arc while allowing Northeastern to shoot 46.5% from the field & 39.1% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Cameron Holden who had 21 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, Towson is averaging 71.8 ppg on 45.0% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 7.5 three-pointers per game on 35.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Towson has been led by Cameron Holden (14.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 apg), Terry Nolan Jr. (10.1 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 4.2 apg, 1.5 spg), & Jason Gibson (10.0 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 spg). Terry Nolan Jr. has been out for the past few weeks due an undisclosed issue and is at best, questionable for this matchup.

Towson was able to defeat William & Mary by a 91-69 margin on the road earlier this season, however, this is still just a monster spread for the Tigers to cover coming off a tough loss at Northeastern in which the offense looked flat. William & Mary ranks just 305^th in scoring offense & 308^th in scoring defense, however, the Tribe have been competitive on the road as of late which includes an 83-75 win at Drexel and as I think the Tribe can keep this one within 20 points, I’m taking William & Mary in this one.
