Brighton vs. Burnley 2/19/22 Premier League Soccer Picks, Predictions, Odds

Brighton and Burnley face off on Saturday in an English Premier League showdown at Falmer Stadium. When these two teams faced off in August of 2021 it was Brighton that came away with the 2-1 victory. 

Brighton currently sits in 9th place in the standings having picked up 33 points. Brighton has been one of the more surprising teams in the Premier League, but they are coming off a loss against Manchester United. Brighton gave up two goals after the 51st minute, and they couldn’t bounce back as they lost. Lewis Dunk did pick up a red card and he won’t be available for this game. Brighton has scored 25 goals total while their defense has given up 25 goals total. Neal Maupay has been the top player for Brighton scoring eight goals and adding two assists. 

On the other side of this matchup is Burnley who sits in 20th place in the standings having picked 14 points. Burnley has had their issues this season, but in the last game against Liverpool they didn’t play terribly. Burnley only gave up one goal, but the offense couldn’t get on the board. Burnley has scored 17 goals total while their defense has given up 29 goals total. Maxwel Cornet has been the top player for Burnley scoring six goals. This offense has been an issue all season and they are going to need to be better on that side of the gumball if they want any chance to come away with the victory. 

Burnley’s offense has been an issue all season but their defense actually hasn’t been all that bad, and that is going to be the case again in this game. Burnley isn’t going to score any goals, but they will also slow down the Brighton offense, and I wouldn’t be shocked if this game ended in a 0-0- draw. This will be lower scoring with a max of one goal, and the under will cash.
