Liverpool is welcoming West Ham to Anfield in round 28 of the English Premier League. Liverpool is on fire right now, they have won the EFL Cup against Chelsea, and they are still close to Manchester City in the EPL. West ham is having a great season, they are on the brink of the Champions League, and I hope they can keep it up.

Liverpool is on an 11-game winning streak, and as I’ve mentioned, they have won the EFL Cup after the penalty shootout against Chelsea. In the EPL, Liverpool is in 2nd place, but they are only 6 points behind Manchester City, and they are still hopeful they can catch up completely. With 70 scored goals, Liverpool is the best offensive team, and Salah is their leading goalscorer with 19 goals and 10 assists. Jota has 12 goals, while Mane added 11 goals. Alexander-Arnold also has 10 assists. Thiago is now the only injured player for Liverpool. With the return of most of their injured players, Liverpool’s depth has increased by a lot, and that will help them against Inter in the Champions League next week. Even though they are only 6 points behind City, that might be too much even for Liverpool.

West Ham has only 1 loss in their last 6 games, and that was against Southampton in the FA Cup, which they are not too mad about I imagine. With 45 points, West Ham is in 5th place, which is only 1 point less than United in the EPL standings, and I think they might get there by the end of the season. West Ham has been solid on both ends, they have scored 46 goals, while they conceded 34 goals in 27 games. As far as the Europa League goes, West Ham is playing against Sevilla next week, and the first game is on the road for West Ham. We know there are basically no easy games in the EPL, but West Ham is holding their own, they are playing well, and they deserve to be in the top 4. Antonio and Bowen are the leading goalscorers for West Ham with 8 goals each, while Bowen has also added 8 assists. Ogbona, Masuaku, and Coufal are injured, while Yarmolenko is absent. Overall, West Ham has everything, but they could use a bit more consistency in the attacking end.

This is going to be a fun game because both teams need a win, but Liverpool is playing in the Champions League, and they might already look ahead. I see goals on both sides in this game.
