Fiorentina vs. Juventus 5/21/22 Serie A Soccer Pick, Predictions, and Odds

Fiorentina is hosting Juventus at Stadio Artemio Franchi in round 38 of the Italian Serie A. Fiorentina is on the Conference League spot right now, but they need a win here to stay on it, and that will be hard. Juventus has nothing to play for, they have qualified for the Champions League, but they lost in the Coppa Italia last week.

Fiorentina has lost 5 of their last 6 games, and instead of making it easier on themselves last weekend, Fiorentina got smashed by Sampdoria. Fiorentina is a massive favorite here, but I don’t think they should be. With 59 points, Fiorentina is now in 7^th place, and they need a win to stay there, or they need to hope Atalanta will lose. Of the 57 goals Fiorentina has scored this season, Gonzalez has scored 6 goals and added 6 assists. Torreira added 5 goals. Castrovilli is injured, while Maleh is suspended because of the yellow cards. Same as for Atalanta, this is a do-or-die game for Fiorentina, but I can’t say I’m willing to put my trust in them. Fiorentina might have a solid roster, but they have been wildly inconsistent, and they have been playing badly.

Whatever happens in this game, Juventus will end this season in 4^th place, which is the Champions League spot, but this season has been very disappointing for them. Defensively, Juventus hasn’t been that bad this season with 35 conceded goals, and even their offense was decent with 57 scored goals, but those goals were nowhere to be seen in the games that mattered. Overall, Vlahovic has scored 24 goals this season, but only 7 of those were for Juventus in Serie A. Dybala is the leading goalscorer for Juventus with 10 goals and 5 assists, but he is leaving the club this summer. Juventus has lost their best player in Chiesa early in the season, and that was a huge blow for them. Nothing was working out for Juve this season, and they have also lost the Coppa Italia finals to Inter last week. I think Juventus will be very active on the market this offseason, and apparently, they are close to signing Pogba from Manchester United. Juventus has to change something, and I think they will, which will make them a completely different team next season.

Neither team is playing well, and only 1 team needs something from this game, and that is Fiorentina. As I’ve mentioned, I have zero faith in Fiorentina right now, which is why I will side with Juventus despite them not needing anything here.
